The Community Food Social Enterprise Network (SEN) was set up after a series of training events sponsored by Community Food and Health Scotland and a Roundtable event which suggested there was a growing interest in social enterprise in the community food sector. In March 2011 an initial meeting at Gorgie Farm confirmed there was an appetite for a Community Food SEN to get off the ground.

With over 50 members, the Community Food SEN welcomes any social enterprises (& aspiring social enterprises) active in this area to join the Network. This includes growers, community cafes, food cooperatives, cookery classes, providers of emergency food aid, bakeries and anyone involved in the wide range of related activities. See list of current members below.

The Community Food SEN is supported by Mary Sinclair and the Social Enterprise Health & Wellbeing Roundtable.

The SEHW Roundtable includes individuals strategically placed to help develop and support the health & wellbeing social enterprise sector, particularly around Food Poverty, Self-Directed Support and Health & Social Care Integration. See dedicated SEHW Roundtable page.

A monthly Social Enterprise Health & Wellbeing Newsletter is available for Community Food SEN members and Regional Joint Thematic Events are available for Community Food SEN members to attend.

To join the Community Food SEN or find out more contact Mary Sinclair or on 07525 864 333. You can also check out the Community Food SEN resource page.
